Abstract
- A conference paper about the economy of the bicycle industry in Korea is presented. It investigates why the industry has been declining although it has remained competitive. It compares the economic condition of the bicycle industry with the industries of textile and footwear. It discusses the role of government an industrial policy in managing the so-called sunset industries. It presents the history of Korea's bicycle industry.
