Abstract
- We report on the status of searches for standard model Higgs boson production performed at the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron. The D0 collaboration has recently announced a new result on the Higgs search, combining contributions from several channels. The considered channels include those where Higgs is produced alone, or in association with a W or Z boson. We present both low mass Higgs (below 135 GeV) channels, which are predominantly searched for using the decay of the Higgs to a pair of b-jets, and the intermediate mass Higgs (135–180 GeV) channels, in which the Higgs decays to a pair of W bosons. The obtained upper limits on the Higgs production are compared to the standard model cross section prediction. © 2007 American Institute of Physics [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
