A New Aging Notion Based Upon the Revered Hazard Rate Order.

This paper deals with a new aging notion, which is called NBUrh, based on the reversed hazard rate order. It is found that the ILR life distribution can be characterized by using the decreasing property of the residual life according to the reversed hazard rate order. A part from some characterizations of NBUrh and implications between this notion and other known aging conceptions, we further investigate the preservation properties under order statistics and monotonic transforms.
