Abstract
- The article provides information on the storms that commonly hit the mid-Atlantic seaboard of the U.S. The Gulf Stream current is a 40- to 90-mile-wide river of warm water that runs north along the mid-Atlantic coastline. It is rank as the most significant single factor in the mid-Atlantic region's climate and weather events. The Gulf Stream acts as a conveyor belt for cyclones. The heat energy of the Gulf Stream fed tropical storms and hurricanes that run up the Atlantic coast.
