Abstract

The article analyzes the conformations of religious liberty in South Africa. According to the author, the political transformation of the state in 1994 to democratic society brought about radical changes in regard to almost every aspect of freedom of religion or belief. He notes that, as far as religion and religious diversity are concerned, the current Constitution can be described,, as one of profound toleration and accommodation. Other matters that have some relevance are also discussed.
