Abstract

The article discusses the results of an AP-Ipsos poll released in August 2007, regarding the reading habits of people in the U.S. The poll revealed that 27% of the 1,000 or so people questioned, admitted they had not read a single book in the past year. The median number of books read by the remainder was nine for women and five for men. According to the poll, women tend to favor novels, while more men opt for biography and history.
