Abstract

The article provides information on studies on how global warming is changing the climate, particularly in New York, as of 2007. According to a report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), much of the warming of the earth comes from burning fossil fuels to generate electricity and to power vehicles and buildings. According to scientists, the average annual temperature in Northeastern U.S., which includes New York, has risen 1.8°F over the last 100 years. It cites the plan of Governor Eliot Spitzer to address climate change.
