FARMERS' MARKETS IN SCHOOLS.

The article focuses on the success of the Children Agriculture Food and Education (CAFE) project launched to reconnect children with food and farming in Wales. Coordinator Caroline Davies is looking for farmers in various areas to open their farms for school visits or sell produce through schoolyard farmers' markets. The project helps schools set up vegetable gardens and persuade teachers to let children prepare and cook what they grow. It has already received up to £90,000 from the Countryside Council for Wales.
