Abstract
- The article discusses a comparative study of reduction of higher-order aberrations (HOA) in current contact lens designs in 16 eyes utilizing wavefront aberrometry. HOA, such as irregular astigmatism, coma, trefoil and spherical aberration, remain intact and in some cases degrade the clarity of an image significantly. Some of the lens brands evaluated actually induced HOA while others induced spherical aberration.
