Abstract
- The article provides information on the proposed increase in royalty payments made to recording artists in the U.S. On March 2, 2007, the Copyright Royalty Board (CRB) ruled to increase webcasters' 2005 rates from 7/100 of a penny per song to 19/100 of a penny per song streamed per listener. However, In April 2007, U.S. Representatives Jay Inslee of Washington and Donald Manzullo of Illinois filed the Internet Radio Equality Act, which aims to revoke the decision of CRB.
