Abstract

The article focuses on a study regarding the dermatological complications of continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion (CSII) in children and adolescents. The study also aimed to determine the relation of the severity of the changes with factors such as duration of CSII use, age and insulin dose. Results showed that there was negative correlation between severity and body mass index (BMI) as well as hemoglobin A (HbA)1c. It notes that scars and erythema were the common complications.
