Abstract
- The article examines the spatial biodiversity patterns of benthic invertebrate communities in braided channels, springs and hillslope streams in the Waimakariri River, New Zealand. The researchers have identified one hundred taxa, including several rare phreatic species. Furthermore, the springs have the highest total taxonomic richness with 81 taxa and they also have the highest diversity of unique taxa.
