Abstract
- The article reports on the raid by the Iraqi forces at the home of Sunni Cultural Minister Asad al-Hashimi in Baghdad, Iraq, on June 26, 2007. The raid was in the context of an arrest warrant for his alleged involvement in the 2005 attempted assassination of member of the Iraqi Parliament Mithal al-Alusi. The minister's political party has alleged that the raid was aimed at discrediting a Sunni leader.
