Abstract
- The article discusses the bestowment of Italian nationality after Word War II. It describes linguistic nationalism (language as national identity) and the legal rights and benefits of repatriated citizens and foreign immigrants. The article also discusses the fall of the Italian empire and the loss of several territories in the African and Mediterranean areas.
