BEHIND THE HEADLINES.

The article presents an overview of American foreign policy, particularly in relation to that of the Soviet Union and the cultural and political conflicts of East versus West. An outline of Soviet bloc political and economic activities in Asia is given. The next drafting of a 5-year plan of India towards economic development is discussed in terms of American foreign policy.
