Abstract: The article reports that Khalid W. Hassan, interpreter and journalist for "The New York Times" in Iraq, was shot and killed on July 13, 2007 on his way to work. Hassan was shot in the head by a gunman after his car was sprayed by gunfire from another gunman. His cellphone and newspaper credentials were taken from him after the murder.
