Abstract
- The article discusses a U.S. Government Accountability Office report that reveals that most schools have implemented emergency plans, but not all meet federal recommendations. According to the report, 56% of school districts have no plan for continuing student education in the event of extended school closure. The report also shows that many school districts do not train with local first responders, and reported problems due to a dearth of training or equipment.
