Abstract
- The article presents microbiological research into the role of the EscC open reading frame and small protein as a chaperone for the Edwardsiella tarda type III secretion system (T3SS) putative translocon components EseB and EseD. EscC is located next to the T3SS gene cluster translocators. Results indicate EscC mutation did not affect the transcription of EseB.
