Abstract
- The article reports on the move of U.S. National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA) Terrestrial Planet Finder (TPF) mission to find Earth-like extrasolar planets and capture their light for spectroscopic analysis. Researchers at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology have demonstrated a coronagraph in the laboratory that would be capable of imaging an Earth-like planet orbiting another star. The setup relies on multiple images with image processing.
