Abstract

This article presents world news briefs. U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower has announced that the U.S. will not be pushed out of Berlin, Germany by threats from Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union Nikita Khrushchev. The United States released findings concerning a ring of radiation enveloping the earth that disrupted radio, radar, and other communications. U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed an Executive Order limiting and assigning quotas for the import of oil.
