Abstract

The article discusses the violation of Wiedemann-Franz law by the crystal lattice. According to the empirical Wiedemann-Franz law the ratio of electronic and thermal conductivity of metals is directly proportional temperature. The theory is one of the oldest relation in condensed matter physics which is supported by quantum mechanics and the Fermi-liquid theory. It was found in the study that this law is followed in one way by crystal lattice while violated in another way. The study discusses how can the behavior of such strongly correlated system be described by modifying the Fermi-liquid theory.
