Taxonomic status of the Tarndale bully Gobiomorphus alpinus (Teleostei: Eleotridae), revisited--again.

The author presents a comment on an article about the alpine bully. He states that a southward decline in dorsal spine counts and intraspecific plasticity in meristic characters in the Eleotridae was reported in describing the alpine bully as a lake population of Gobiomorphus basalis. He mentions that some of the bully show low sequence divergences at cytochrome b.
