Sarcoglycanopathies: A clinico-pathological study.

The article reflects the opinion of the author on the study conducted among patients in India who suffered from limb girdle muscular dystrophy, a muscular dystrophy characterized by proximal weakness sparing facial, extraocular and distal muscles which usually occur in childhood or adulthood. The author said it is desirable to know that there is a growing concern on the emergence of the disease in India. The author added, the study could help improve the diagnosis of the disease in due time.
