Abstract
- The article focuses on the historical and political specificity of constructionist approaches to texts in relation to the ethnography of the U.S. It provides a comparison between the narrative and narrative structure of ethnography and fiction. It presents a detailed discussion of the congressional hearings that led to the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1989 (ADA). It notes that U.S. community studies from the 1990s are books about American cities and neighborhoods.
