The development of food labelling regulations in the UK.

The article focuses on the development food labeling regulations in Great Britain. It details on the complex progression of the regulation from pre-1930 towards the present day practice of food labeling controls. Moreover, an overview on the 1934 Report of the Departmental Committee on the composition and description of Food, the Food and Drugs Act of 1938, the Labeling of Food Order 1946, and the Food Advisory Committee Review of some Marketing Terms in 2001 are presented.
