Abstract
- The article reports on an increase in Japan's monetary reserves in April 2007. Such increase was aided by a drop in U.S. Treasury yields which, in effect, lifted the value of holdings in U.S. government securities. The reserves include convertible foreign currencies, gold and International Monetary Fund special drawing rights and it increased by $6.67 billion.
