Abstract
- The article presents the author's views on the allegation of cronyism leveled against World Bank President Paul Wolfowitz. It is alleged that Wolfowitz gave his girlfriend Shaha Ali Riza a promotion and $60,000. He did so because he felt guilty that she was shifted to the State Department when took over the World Bank, says the author. It is also alleged that Wolfowitz in 2003, when he was No. 2 at the U.S. Defense Department, made her hired for an official trip to Iraq, says the author.
