Abstract
- The article discusses the dispute over the legislation against preserving wolves in Idaho and Wyoming by the Anti-Wolf Coalition and politicians. Wolves have been held responsible for livestock depredation. However, in Montana, Governor Mark Racicot supported the movement to preserve wolves by appointing a Wolf Advisory Council in 2001. The objective of the agency is to increase the population of wolves in places where wolves will not interfere with human activities. In Yellowstone, Montana, wolf watching provides $70 million worth of revenue according to a study made by John Duffield, an economist at the University of Montana.
