Abstract

The article focuses on the effects of polarization and imaging technologies on the eye. It notes that the respective rays vibrates in a plane and the extraordinary ray known as calcite crystal can cause bifringence in the eye. It also states that the effect of polarization varies as a function of wavelength. Based on a study, the macular ratio tend to be higher in patients who undergone subfoveal choroidal neovascularization.
