Abstract

The article presents the study concerning the composting trends in each of the ten provinces in Canada. It has been noted that this study uses existing information and a survey that compare the results across Canada by the waste management consulting firm 2cg Inc. and environmental and geotechnical consulting company, Golder Associates Inc. Based on the results of the survey, it is found that composting trends in Canadian provinces including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland, reveal considerable variability, which ranged from all homes that have an access to curbside composting, to almost none.
