Abstract
- The article examines the economic impact of higher education and K-12 sector in New England. The economic impact of public and private elementary and secondary schools have been ignored from the discussions on the contribution of education to workforce development and knowledge creation. It is found out in a study that elementary, middle and secondary schools spent over $443 million on construction and $4.8 billion was spent in public K-12 on salaries.
