Abstract
- The article offers information about national HIV-prevalence estimates. The method is based on surveillance data that assess prevalence over time among pregnant women who attend selected sentinel antenatal clinics. If these are disrupted during conflict and post-conflict situations, population-based surveys can be used. However, it may underestimate infection levels of participation is too low.
