Abstract

The article focuses on the neurobiology researchers Liane Young and Michael Koenigs, and their recent study on moral judgement in people with damage to the ventromedial prefrontal cortex (VMPC). Their study shows that patients with this type of brain damage are able to make some types of moral judgements without the interference of emotion.
