The article discusses research being done on the use of antidepressants in hospital outpatients in Japan. It references a study by M. Nakao et al., published in the January 2007 issue of the "International Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics." The study found that benzodiazepines are prescribed more frequently than other antidepressants to hospital outpatients in Japan, with the number varying greatly across departments.
