Abstract

The article focuses on Discovery Communications after its upfront advertising time sales presentation on April 5, 2007 in New York City. The cable television network's 2006 recovery from significant ratings losses for both its Discovery Channel and The Learning Channel in 2004-2005 is presented. The company's advertising revenue is reported to have enjoyed a similar rebound. Its scheduling plan for the 2007-2008 television season is given.
