Abstract

The article reports on an agreement concluded by the European Space Agency (ESA) with the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) to develop new space-based technologies for oil-spill monitoring applications. The agreement will allow EMSA to help influence the design of future environmental spacecraft.
