Abstract

The article highlights the results of a survey on personal finance, carried out for the British Department for Education & Skills. The study found that a proportion of young people believed store cards offered better value than credit cards, while some did not know what the financial term APR meant. A percentage of parents surveyed felt that their children did not think money matters were important, with the majority of them expressing concern that their children would also get into debt.
