Abstract

The article reflects on the capability of the prophets' teachings to lift up the dried up spirits of Catholics. It mentions that Elijah and Elisha roamed Israel to heal the sick, call down fire and drought, multiply food for the hungry and raise the dead. It notes that the writings of Ezekiel were not ideal for personal prayer but became the prophet of the Pentecost after he prophesized the Word of God with the dead. It argues that Catholics need the Word of God like the way they need food, clothing and shelter.
