Abstract
- The article presents the study investigating the significance of fatality narratives as an effective communication procedure ensuring the industrial safety in the U.S. Washington State Fatality Assessment and Control Evaluation (FACE) program offers such services. FACE staff tracks acute occupational fatalities in the state, conducts targeted research investigations, and disseminates findings and educational material. Fatality narratives are developed initially by a research analyst who reviews several case information. According to the authors, the development of narratives came after the analysis of industry impact potential.
