Making the paper: Ning Zheng.

The article outlines the collaborative work on auxin binding to TIR1 that activated the cascade of chemical responses in plants by Ning Zheng, biologist, and Mark Estelle, plant biologist. An overview of the study of crystalline structure of TIR1, the role of inositol phosphate molecule as co-factor, structure of TIR1 bound to a number of different auxin analogues and the usefulness of the study in drug discovery, is presented.
