Abstract
- The article reports on the launch of Cape Clear's enterprise service bus (ESB) 7.0. According to the author, this software makes service-oriented architecture (SOA) easier by offering middleware functionality on-demand so that companies can abstract services and coordinate them into composite applications without deploying an ESB internally. Annrai O'Toole, chief executive officer of Cape Clear, believes in software as a service (SaaS) model, and is confident that SOA will be much more aligned with the SaaS world.
