Abstract
- Chemical studies of the superheavy elements have progressed tremendously in recent years. This is illustrated here using the following four examples: (i) gas chemical studies of element 112, (ii) radiochemical investigations of the reaction 248Cm(26Mg,xn)274-xHs, (iii) complexation studies of rutherfordium, and (iv) the development of the technique of physical preseparation. © 2007 American Institute of Physics [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
