Abstract
- This article focuses on experiments with controlling traffic flow in towns like Ipswich, England, throughout Europe. Traffic planner Hans Monderman argues his 'Shared Space' program makes the driver more alert. The removal of all driving instruction devices including stop lights, painted lines and speed bumps have reportedly done well, forcing drivers to behave more responsibly while on the road.
