Proposes a stopping rule for linear, iterative signal restoration using the gradient decent and conjugate gradient algorithms. Objective of the proposed rule; Approximation for the iterative algorithm; Application to the restoration of a complex magnetic resonance image from pseudorandomly sampled Fourier data.
