Abstract

This paper examines the effect of using pictures in learning an online nutritional course. The use of pictures of food sources in the study alms to help students relate the learning content with their daily food intake. Pictures helps students visualizing web-based learning, and interacting with scenario. To test pictorial effect on web-based learning, sixty-one students were assigned to two different treatment groups: text-with-pictures and text-without-pictures groups. From the results, it was found that both learning and total affective response of using pictures were significant (p < 0.001).
