Abstract: The article presents information about two events related to hip-hop music in the U.S. The Hip-Hop Summit was held on February 25, 2007, in Detroit, Michigan. The summit was addressed by Louis Farrakhan, the leader of Nation of Islam, who spoke on the importance of interfaith dialogue. Producer and lyricist Lord Finesse hosted the International Hip Hop Showcase in New York.
