Abstract
- The article explores teachers' working condition and the political consequences of their professional transformations in schools in France. High schools in working-class neighborhoods are assessed to determine the impact of inflation of educational capital and its diffusion throughout the working class in the transformation of teacher's experiences. It scrutinizes the morphological transformation of teachers as a social group relevant to their social and cultural distance from their students.
