Abstract

The article explores the potential of marijuana as a treatment for glaucoma. It is stated that since 1971, there has been many studies concluding that active agents in marijuana are able to lower intraocular pressure in normal subjects and glaucoma patients. However, there were no studies published regarding long-term ocular and systemic effects of the plant used by glaucoma patients.
