Making the paper: Ian Harding.

The article reports on the possibility that Arctic ice formed at the transition between the Eocene and Oligocene epochs based on oxygen isotope calculations from Pacific Ocean sites. Dropstones or fragments of rock carried out to the sea by ice at different depths were found in cores collected from the Norwegian-Greenland Sea. The origins of the dropstones and the sediment grains were provided by their characteristics.
