The article focuses on a survey of traffic cameras and the like and the way in which engineering and criminal justice depend on them, conducted by the "Professional Engineering" in Great Britain. Findings revealed that 57 percent of the engineers surveyed thought they were not effective while 53 percent agreed that traffic cameras are primarily aimed at raising revenues and not in improving road safety. In addition, 73 percent believed that cameras helped detect crime.
